The Port of Olhão relies on Lindley for the improvement of its floating facilities
18-06-2019
The Porto of Olhão, in Portugal, commissioned Lindley to improve its facilities, through various interventions such as the provision of a reception pier and a maritime-tourist dock at the entrance to the port, in addition to the rehabilitation of the existing marina with replacing fingers and pontoons in poor condition and updating the moorings.
The new reception dock, built with floating concrete pontoons of 45 meters in length, is intended to receive the boats to fill the fuel tanks. The other pier, for maritime-tourism purposes, is also manufactured using the same technology and has a length of 30 meters. In addition, a total of 37 pedestals were provided to supply water and electricity throughout the marina; one of them, located at the reception pier, is intended for the collection of wastewater. Hydrofloat platforms for jet skis were also provided. In this way, a complete rehabilitation of the marina was carried out to improve its services and reinforce the safety of users, in preparation for the second phase of the complementary works.
