Figueira da Foz receives new rowing dock installed by Lindley

11-04-2025

Lindley has completed the installation of the new rowing dock in Figueira da Foz. This project, developed by ADNR Naval Remo with the support of the Municipality of Figueira da Foz (CMFF) and the Administration of the Port of Figueira da Foz (APFF), reinforces the commitment to the local nautical tradition and the promotion of rowing in the region.

The new infrastructure was designed based on the use and remodeling of two existing 10-metre-long pontoons, providing a more sustainable and optimised project. The aluminum frame of the FARO range, combined with a deck made of Massaranduba wood, ensures durability and resistance. One of the fundamental aspects of this installation is the 20 cm lowered freeboard, essential to facilitate the boarding and disembarkation of athletes and improve the accessibility of rowing boats that can go up to 8 meters.

Two new access bridges were installed, 12 meters long and 2 meters wide, allowing the proper circulation of rowers and the transport of boats.

With more than 130 years of history, Naval Remo keeps the nautical tradition alive in Figueira da Foz, and this new pier represents an investment in local sports development. The infrastructure will contribute to the training of new athletes and to the strengthening of the sport, providing better conditions for the practice of rowing in the region.
