Ports de la Generalitat improves the basin of port of l’Escala
05-07-2022
Ports de la Generalitat has improved the nautical infrastructure of Port de l'Escala with the aim of reducing agitation within the port and optimizing the port basin. Almarin, in collaboration with its partner Lindley, has been the company in charge of supplying and installing the port's floating structures.
These actions focused on the final zone of the basin, with the supply and installation of three 8-meter walkways to access the three existing pontoons, as well as on the popular nautical area, where piles were driven to protect the existing pontoons. In addition, in this area, three new 15-metre-long concrete dock modules, from the Lindley PFC range, have been installed.
These pontoons protect the vessels against the waves generated by the wind. The PFC range stands out for being a robust and stable range, with a high overload capacity, designed for semi-protected areas for the use of large and heavy vessels.
Lindley, with more than 35 years of experience in the sector, has carried out projects for the renovation, creation or expansion of marinas and recreational ports in Spain, Portugal, Brazil and Angola, among other countries.
