Port of Aveiro proceeds to replace the floating pontoon for improvement of the mooring of small boats, in Forte da Barra, next to the Jardim Oudinot. Lindley was the company in charge of supplying this floating equipment. The task of replacing the dock for the existing one included the floating pontoon, the access pontoon, the system of tie rods and scouring, and the respective solid castings in the marginal retention.

The pontoon is known for its importance as a landing point for the traditional procession in Honor of Nª Sra. dos Navegantes, being also used by maritime-tourist operators and boats who navigate to Forte da Barra and Jardim Oudinot. The aim of the Administration of Porto de Aveiro is to reinforce the water access safety conditions of all users, guaranteeing its public use for this purpose.
