New water collection and pumping platform on the Douro River

The infrastructure is characterized by a protective structure for the submerged pumps and a custom-designed lifting structure for pump maintenance.

Lindley, through Amydra, has been the company in charge of the floating structure belonging to the project driven by Águas do Douro e Paiva to design, manufacture, and install a water intake and pumping platform on the Douro River.

After analyzing the local conditions, it was determined that the platform would be at a 12-meter distance from the shore. To bridge this gap, it was agreed to install a walkway providing access to the floating aluminum docks that house the pipeline system.

To maintain the stability of the infrastructure, a mooring system with an articulated arm was chosen. The infrastructure is characterized by a protective structure for the submerged pumps and a custom-designed lifting structure for pump maintenance.

Once again, Lindley demonstrates its ability to carry out custom special projects according to customer requirements, whether they are water pumping platforms, pedestrian walks and bridges, docks for adapted sailing, among others.
