Lindley participates in the project of the first electric ferry in the Iberian Peninsula

Aveiro launches the first electric ferry in the Iberian Peninsula. Lindley, which is part of the consortium focused on implementing the necessary systems for the ferry's operation, together with ETG-Management and Transport Company S.A., has been responsible for supplying and installing two floating pontoons with a gangway to house the electric ferry's charging tower, one on the Forte da Barra side and the other on the São Jacinto side, along with the electrical infrastructure. The pontoons have been specially designed to maintain stability and position, allowing for quick charging while the ferry is unloading passengers and vehicles.

The boat emits zero CO2 emissions, thus avoiding 300 tons of CO2 generated by the previous model and reducing energy consumption by around 30%. The boat travels between São Jacinto in Aveiro and Forte da Barra in Ílhavo.
